Network Connection

I am fairly new to PLEX. I created libraries on Plex Media server on my Windows 10 computer. I am now trying to view the libraries on my Samsung TV using Roku. I get an error message saying no Network Connection. What does this mean and how do I go about creating a network connection?

The message basically means that the Plex app on your TV fails to see the server.

For starters…

  • Is the Plex Media Server “Office Computer” up and running? (sorry if this is a silly question… you’d be surprised :wink: )
  • Are the TV and your server on the same network/subnet?

  • YES. Initially it was not running on my PC. Thinking that was the problem, I opened the Plex Media Server

  • Yes, I use T-Mobile internet

Are both the server and client signed in with the same Plex account?

There’s the problem. I was running under two different accounts. Spent half the day correcting that problem, but now it seems to be working. Thanks for the help!!
