Network Question

Most of the time when I try to play a movie that is on my server I get a message that says "Your connection to the server is not fast enough to stream this video. Check your network or try a lower quality "
I am on the computer the server is on so the network should not even be an issue right?

It’s using something called a loop back adapter but it’s a “fake” network so to speak. It’s fast enough!

There are a few kinks in Plex that need to get worked out as this message pops up far to often for people when it shouldn’t.

If you are not already running version 1.5.2 then upgrade at once to this plex-pass version as it has some network fixes in it that may help.

Let us know how this goes,
Carlo

I updated to the 1.5.2 this morning but it still does this for most of my movies. It is almost useless. Any ideas on fixes?

How are you playing the file? Web? Local on the server?

I am playing it local on the server. Not every movie does this but most do.

This seems to be an issue many are having. Surely there has to be a fix for this now.

Worth asking which web browser you are using. I normally use Firefox and see this often but if I switch to Chrome see it much less.

I am using firefox as well. I will try chrome.

Nope. Tried Chrome and same result
