NETWORK SPEED NOT FAST ENOUGH (Gigabit!) ... constantly freezes/skips

So I am not sure what the issue has been these last four months.

Got a Sony X900E TV, connected directly via ETHERNET (10/100 on the damn TV I realized, not gigabit!) – after a year, I was kind of annoyed at the slow seeking performance and snappyness, and the 4k h265 remux streams sometimes crashing when fast forwarding (memory issue? I dont know), so I went and got a FIRE TV STICK 4k, running it on 5g upstairs.

the 1080p seems fine, but when playing 4k remuxes, i sometimes get “network speed not fast enough” and it buffers/freezes/choppy. I have ran immediately speedtests (on my phone) when this happens on the wifi 5g, and every time the speed comes back as over 300MBIT

I have a gigabit connection, I have also ran speed tests on my PC during this time, and consistnetly get 950+Mbit

so I am not sure what the heck is causing the Firestick / plex app on the firestick to constantly keep saying my internet is not fast enough and buffers… this only happens on 4k remuxes I find…

Please advise.

I get this a fair bit too. And kodi has no issues, and plex doesn’t have issues on other devices

Wish someone from the dev team would respond so this can be looked at…

Have the same problem last months…

I stumbled upon this thread:

where @ljunkie said to disable large file offload – I did, yet no fix.
