New Account/Server Install. No Access

I’m on a new account & a fresh install of the server. Getting this message when I try to set up the server/go to preferences:

Not authorized
You do not have access to this server

I have used this same computer (iMac) for a server before but I tried logging in again recently and it was giving me the same error and I couldn’t troubleshoot it at all. Which is why I created a new account & fresh server install. Same error.

Commonly this procedure should help you reclaim a server which got stuck. There’s no need to create a new account for that purpose.

If you want to start from scratch (e.g. on a machine where a different server had been installed before), you can use this procedure to wipe the old setup for good.

I’ve tried both of these solutions and neither of them worked.
