New Agent - Correctly matched movies missing RT rating data

Server Version#: 1.20.0.3133
Player Version#: all

I have around 350 movies on my Plex movie share. After migrating to the new agent, it looks like 10 or so are missing all or parts of their Rotten Tomatoes ratings, which I have set as my default rating source. These are films that I know RT has in their database, and are otherwise matched correctly. Some examples:

The Assistant (2019).mkv fails over to IMDB. RT is available https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_assistant_2020 (I notices the date difference in the RT rating, I tried the file name both ways).

Waves (2019).mkv pulls an incorrect 50% audience score and no critic score, the correct is https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/yesterday_2019

Both example movies have otherwise correct metadata.

Thanks for the report!
I am told this was fixed in the backend database.
Please wait a few days (to allow for changes to propagate and caches to expire), then Refresh Metadata on the affected items.

Sounds good. I’ll re-test it on the weekend and report back.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait another few days, before the issue can be fixed on your end.
I just got notice that the fix won’t go into production before Monday.
Sorry about that!

Thanks for the update. I’m just happy that the fix is known and in the pipeline. I’ll re-check next week.

So I refreshed metadata on one of my sample problem titles and it worked! The Assistant went from having an IMDB rating to a correct RT rating.

So then I refreshed metadata on my library, and things got worse. I went from 10 bad titles to 25ish. Most are different films from before?

Some samples:

Rocketman (2019)
Warrior (2011)
Us (2019)

So something definitely changed, as these three were working correctly before, and the ones that had problems are mostly fixed.

I just noticed this on some movies. Including Rocketman (2019). It had RT ratings before a refresh, now “just” IMDB ratings.

This issue has been fixed, all these movies now have RT ratings and should appear fine after another refresh. Thanks for the report!

So it’s at least partially fixed, partially not fixed. I meant to update the thread last week where I refreshed my problem ones and roughly half started working. So it’s improved at least. See what you get for the following:

Midsommar (No critic rating)
If Beale Street Could Talk (IMDB Rating)
