I’m not sure if this is happening with all series or not as this is the only series I currently have that I have previously aired recordings stored for. I have the series set to record “New and Repeat Airings” and I keep seeing something similar to this in my recordings calendar view for airings that have already been previously recorded.
Even if I cancel the series recording or set it just to “New Airings Only” I see the following:
When it comes time to record that time slot it ends up creating new files for each of them and adding to them appending “Copy (1)”, “Copy (2)”, etc. I’ve just been going in for now and deleting the “copies” as it seems like each of them leads to another instance showing up in the grouping on the calendar view.
I removed and re-added my DVR and still had the issue. I then reloaded my Plex server completely from the ground up and the problem appears to have gone away. I’m guessing it’s related to having to remove/re-add DVR multiple times since the EPG switch getting something horribly out of sync.
I’ve never added/removed/modified dvr in any way and I’ve got loads of shows that seemingly record every single airing. There is some major issue in their matching algorithm.
May need Server debug logs covering time of a recording and after that when the same recorded item pops again in the to be recorded view. Also directory structure of where the recording went to and names / dates/times of the files/directory
They may not be the same issue…the issue here seems to be related to a matching problem. The show in question is the US version of the show so the match from thetvdb was actually “Euphoria (US)” where the airing was just “Euphoria”. I changed the “Title” and “Sort Title” to just Euphoria in the library and locked the fields and I haven’t had the problem since.
