Something is amiss in the programming logic for New / New and Repeat Airings. I routinely record Nova and Nature on PBS with DVR set to record New Airings only. I recorded both shows last night, but because I watched them live, I deleted both recordings today. But now the re-airings for both shows are on my recording schedule again for early Friday AM. My local PBS also re-airs these new shows for a third time on Sunday. So… I either have to cancel these DVR schedules and hope to remember to enable them again later… or… delete the recordings each time they keep re-recording. A minor annoyance but an annoyance nonetheless.
Perhaps Plex DVR could set a flag once a show has been recorded to prevent it from being recorded again (with an option for the user to reset the flag if there is a real need to record a show again after it has previously been recorded). Either that or fix the logic behind New vs. New and Repeat Airings when a new show re-airs multiple times during the same week. Just a suggestion for future DVR updates.
