New Android App + Chromecast: Subtitles not working

Updated my mediaserver, updated Android App. Subs work on Android App (when not streaming to Chromecast), they work on my desktop browser, but NOT when streaming to Chromecast from Android app. Please fix it. They used to work with old app, so the problem is clearly in new Android App.

Have the same issue - annoying as hell.
Basic thing to test before releasing a new version - does subtitles work when casting!

Seeing the same issue immediately after my Android app was updated. App version 2025.14.0. Forcing me to switch to my PS5, which is showing OTHER issues. Sigh. What happened to “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” ?

Same issue here since last update. Work if when downgrade to version 10.26.0.2578

The error is still there, but now it behaves differently. Now each time I try to press “CC” button the video in Chromecast reloads itself. There are still no subs, but hopefully this means you are trying to fix it.

Same problem here, CC makes video restart, shows subs for about 2-3 lines then get disappear.
Jumping back and or forwards repeats the behavior.

It’s amazing that subtitles is still a major issue as it has been for years …

it’s also impossible to even choose which subtitle you want :frowning:

Now the subtitles finally work. At one point they disappeared, but restarting the video fixed that. So it’s not perfect yet, but I still have to thank you for the fixing you are doing.

Still not working here. The last few months have been nothing but problems.

Still not working on 2025.21.0
