Since the update of the app while chromecasting i cant access to the paramétrer which allow me to select the quality and choose my subtitles and many other things and it sucks. An update should make the user happy and with the posts i’ve read this is not what happened
I am having the same issue. I am being told that I need to go in a few layers deeper into the menu’s, but only after I begin the chromecast. The workflow guidance they are pushing makes no sense whatsoever. It is the opposite of a delightful experience. We need a total system-wide rollback. There’s no official word from the leadership yet about how this is all going to get fixed. Makes me wonder if people will be fired for this mistake?
If you discover an easy fix please tag me. I will do the same here if I can find one. We are on our own and need to look out for each other.
Same here, plus there are no posters downloeded from my library. On older android versions like 12. It woul be nice to take previous version available for downoad.
I found workaround as to open plex in browser than when subtitle enabled by default, plex start stream with subtitles. Hit playback during playback Settings always crashed my stream.
They dont care obviously. They release a ■■■■■■ update and dont answer to us. We’ve already take the plex pass for life but i wont recommand plex to my friend now. I was satisfied of the product until they release this ■■■■■■ update
I have the same issue as well, because of the new experience update.
Subtitles are not working at all, from the app mobile (the button cannot be checked)
The only walkaround I found, for making the subtitles work again, is from my computer (local), from the library, reading locally video files and broadcasting it to Chromecast (throught browser).
This is the only way around the problem I’ve been able to figure out - but it’s hardly a fix. Plex seem to be ignoring the issue, probably as it’s not impacting revenue.
It’s always sad to watch a product actively engineer its own extinction through misplaced priorities.
