Subtitles still not working despite app update!

Imagine my joy to wake up and find there’s been an update to the Plex android app! Then imagine the feeling of utter deflation to find the update has solved nothing and that subtitles via the Plex app is a total shitshow, not fit for public consumption!
It’s now over two weeks since the “new, improved” app infected our phones and it’s starting to feel like some kind of sick joke. Please fix this soon!

Subtitle didn't work with chromecast

I have the same issue as well, because of the new experience update. Subtitles are not working at all, from the app mobile (the button cannot be checked) The only walkaround I found, for making the subtitles work again, is from my computer (local), from the library, reading locally video files and broadcasting it to Chromecast (throught browser). Is there a real fix coming for this issue ?

i’ve found a way !! just remove the app and download the old apk here : the apk come from plex employee so no risk i’ve tried and it work

I’m having the same problem, have made sure Local Agent i checked but can’t cast with subs.
Since the last update f*cked up the app I’d appreciate if Plex finally fixes this subtitle issue rather soon since I think we’re all getting impatient.
