I confirm, still a problem. If you use direct play, direct stream, subtitles keep disappearing after a while.
Strange that it takes soo much time to fix this bug.

I also had a movie watching with the external subtitles left after a few minutes. Please fix this problem.
Same here on the Xbox app. Worked for a while though, but after the latest Plex server update (Plex Pass) the subs are gone after a couple of minutes. When going back to menu and playing again, it even stops after seconds.
Will confirm on newest xbox one plex app this still happens.
Month later, still happens. Golly gee, another issue Plex devs have yet to fix. Just… lmao.
