Is anyone else getting a issue with subtitles disappearing after 30secs to a minute after start of playback of videos. I’ve updated to the latest xbox plex player and now subtitles seem to be now playing. (srt files in the same folder as the video files) if I stop and restume the comeback again for a shortwhile before disappearing again.
I am having the same issue. Turn on subtitl and a minute or two later they disappear. The Subtitle selector still says they are turned on.
Apparently this is a known issue with PMS 1.9 and not the app.
You can “fix” it by downgrading the server to 1.8. Devs are aware but no idea when they’ll actually fix it
Same here noticed last night when watching a movie. Glad to see they are aware and will be fixing soon I hope!
I have the same issue. Decided to go back to the previous / old app and that one is still working fine. Waiting for a solution before I go back to the new app again.
Working on a fix for this issue, sorry for the annoyance!
how do we downgrade?
thanks for the answers wish I hadnt deleted the old app now as that didnt seem to be having the issues (teach me to be tidy on my xbox

Search for plex on the Xbox store. You’ll find two plex apps, the old one and the new one. Simply reinstall the old one!
I don’t believe is a pms issue because before the Xbox app upgrade everything worked perfectly.

I’m thinking along these lines too. I have the same subtitle issue with it disappearing every 2 minutes or so but ONLY in the new app. The old app works perfectly. I’m on the latest PMS version as well.
Hello, same thing for me, only the new app have this issue.
Same thing here, in the old Plex app everything was running smooth. Now I can’t even run the old app because the xbox one is updating automatically to the new version.

On the new XBOX app the subtitles stops showing after a while. It’s kinda random, sometimes after 20 sec, sometimes after 2 minutes. But it happens all the time. It is not possbile to see a movie with subtitles with the new app. The old one works great.
This is not a server issue since the old app works fine.

Here if I pause and resume the subtitle cames back.
Ok, thats a better solution than I used. Switch between two different subtitles…

To me, Plex is basically broken since the Xbox-one-update as the subtitle-feature is very important to me.
I’m hoping that this issue gets fixed very soon!
