New Audio Engine & Spatial Audio - Not showing Multichannel Audio

The new Spatial Audio feature on the AppleTV 4K is not showing Multichannel audio for AirPod Pro 2. I’ve tried a variety of audio codecs: EAC3, AC3, AAC, DTS, and TrueHD.

It is only offering “Spatialized Stereo”. The iPhone version of the update with the new Audio Engine does properly show Multichannel support. The good news is the Spatialized Stereo issue I’m seeing in the iOS version where the player loses audio completely does not appear to be present.

Will this new audio engine also allow for EAC3 Atmos Passthrough to Audio Receivers similar to Infuse?

The manual audio offset setting is nice and functional.

I see this too.
As a side note does playback start for you with True-HD Atmos files? I just get a spinning circle. Most have a compatibility track though so I can cope for now.
(I’m running tvOS beta 17 too so I’m not expecting everything to be perfect)

I haven’t updated to tvOS 17 yet, but I’ve been okay with TrueHD playing.

That said, my iOS devices is running iOS17 and that’s where I’m seeing issues with the TrueHD tracks. Thanks for helping put 2 and 2 together there :slight_smile:
