New bugs introduced with todays Version : 5.25.1

With today’s update I see 2 new bugs.

  1. Whatever background the app loads last it stays on other screens too. For example, I open Cry Macho, it loads the movie background, I go back, the background is still there, unless I open another movie/show, or go back to Home. As you can see on the screenshot I go to the TV Shows tab and it still show the Cry Macho background.

  1. No matter how many times I enter a Season on a TV Show it never shows the episodes, I’m stuck in the same screen, like in a loop. The only way is to go to a specific episode is using a Filter.

I too am experiencing strange things as well with this update. I go to view movie information and detail text does not show up (For the first movie viewed). I have to go out of the movie details and then back in for the text to show. I also have random text that hangs on different screens for a couple of seconds at a time.

I too am getting the same issues on my LG OLED C7.

I have my library set to hide season covers for single-season series, so it should only display the episodes.

It’s stopped doing that now, and I get the endless loop like you described.

You should take this to an LG thread, or create one. This is the Samsung Tizen thread.

I was just stating that these errors aren’t exclusive to the Samsung Tizen. Might be useful to know for the devs.

That’s not wholly correct. But these two TV brands use different, and not related at all operating systems. The Samsung Plex team, may not be the same as the LG team. Which is why if you have a problem that is not Samsung related, you should make your post in the right threads. Your LG issue won’t get resolved here, and non-Samsung issues clutter the Samsung threads. It is what it is.

I wasn’t looking to get my LG issue fixed here. I was just pointing out the same issues are shared with the LG WebOS. The more information the dev team have the better, it may possibly narrow down the problem somewhat.

If the Samsung and LG dev teams are different, they now know to communicate with each other regarding these issues.

Same thing started happening here, Ive noticed today that the “File Info” for multiple episodes in a season is also not showing properly…

You need to go out the movie and back in to see things like Audio,Subtitles and even details like Director/Writer…

Thanks, I’ve logged internal issues for these. The second issue will likely get hotfixed.

If it’s the same bug, I think it’s find to comment as such in the thread. It does help us confirm the issue isn’t the same. The biggest difference between the platforms is playback, so outside of that it’s mostly shared code between our TV (and console) platforms.

A fix for both issues has been made in 5.25.2.

Is there a way to force the update to the fixes?

I am also getting lots of playback errors that require me to force quit. This update never should have made it out the door.

I am on the latest version and 70% of my media on my samsung tv fails to play. Other users on reddit seem to have the same issue. Only way to workaround is to force subtitles.

I have one question, did the Quality Language and Subtitle information moved? I see it in the bottom right corner now. Looks off.

I would like to know how to see or setup a specific hardware to do the transcoding. I have an AMD CPU 3700X and and Nidia Quadro P4000 GPU. I want to take full advantage of this graphic card to do all transcoding task. I don’t know were I can see the hardware working to do the transcoding.

Also I often get a notification on my tv when, I start a movie.[invalid format] with colorful bubble flying around it. Is it due to transcoding not being done or in the process of?
