I noticed in the latest windows PMS server there’s a new flag for closed captioned subtitles. I didn’t know that was coming so i didn’t follow the discussion. But how does one actually use it. Seems like .cc.srt isn’t it (eg xxx.en.cc.srt) as the subtitle file i’m testing with is recognised as “unknown (SRT external)” instead of “English (Closed Captioned)” or whatever it’s supposed to be? Am i doing something wrong?
PMS 1.20.3.3401 or later required. Also, seems the new Plex Movie agent must be used (which implies not yet supported for TV shows).
Well considering i just updated to the latest release 1.20.3.3437 which newer than the one you mentioned, it’s not a version problem. Guess it’ll be a TV show problem then
These CC flags cannot be used with tv shows, yet.
That i got by now, here’s to hoping they’re added soon as it would solve a problem for me. As i currently have plex configured to show subtitles always. Ideally i’d like to configure plex to ALWAYS show them but ONLY if the language track is different from the audio preferred audio track.
Eg:
English audio, en + nl subs available > only show nl subs
English audio, en subs available > don’t show subs
Can’t figure that out on plex.
