So I just built a brand new computer specifically for plex. 13900k and 64gb of ram with a 4tb nvme for an os drive. I just installed plex and then nothing happens nor will the program open. I have deleted and reinstalled several times and also deleted every plex file off of my computer. Please any info because right now I want to break everything in sight!

Ok im signed in there now. But it wont pop up if i click on the program icon?
or is that normally how you have to sing into your server? I’m coming from a qnap where i just clicked the icon and it would load the server.
No, that’s just an indication your server is on and hopefully working.
Plex consists of 2 parts. The server software is just that. It does nothing you can see
In order to actually view the server you need to go to the browser

Or install the Plex for Windows app. If you’re going to use the computer to watch files from I suggest you install the app. It’s a better player

So let me ask if I go to my Program list on windows 11 and click on the plex media server icon what should happen?
That will only start up your sever if it’s not running. No window will pop up where you can actually view the items on your server

.You should have been prompted to claim your server and given the options to start adding libraries with a setup wizard

Yes to add libraries or make any type of changes the app or browser is what you want.
The other clients you install will be just for watching content, like on your tv. You can’t edit anything or make changes on those
