I am a Plex Pass member. Looking at the Now Playing section, it still looks the same. I also do not see Dashboard on the left hand menu, rather I see Now Playing still.
What am I missing here?
I am running Plex Server Version 1.14.1.5488 on Ubuntu 18.04
Are you accessing the hosted desktop url?
Then click on Status under Manage
Also, restart your server if you have not already.
That worked. What is the difference between going there rather than going to the IP:32400/web ??
plex.tv always has the current version of the web app, the version that is on your server is installed with server updates and generally is not updated as frequently.
the ip web is hosted directed on your server is static, where the web url plex updates dynamically.
your server web will be updated in a future server update.
Ahhh ok . Thanks for that info. I didnt realize there was a difference. Ill start using the plex.tv link.
not only that, but you can remotely manage your server from any internet connection.

Even more good news is you can actually play content from your library in the web browser (assuming server powerful enough to transcode as needed).
On a side note, PLEX seems to run overall much better now that I have upgraded to Ubuntu 18.10. Much snappier.
So I had the same issue as OP but a reboot didn’t resolve same, attempted what’s listed here, yearly Plex Pass but when viewing the dashboard it’s almost suggesting it can’t tell that I am.
Plex.tv is the only way it worked
Are you logged into that URL with your Plex Pass account? Maybe try logging out and back in?
Yeah jumped through all the hoops, tried it out on different computers, no new dash.
@slypig86 Are you running PMS v1.14.1?
Version 1.9.7.4441, states there are no updates to check for/is most current.
You will need to manually install the latest version of PMS from https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/
Seems like my revision is higher than 1.14.1 no? Am I missing something?
