New Downloads Feature Not Working for Library of Type "Photos"

Hello all,

I have a library of type “Photos” which I use for all family photos and videos. It works well in general, however, I just noticed that the new Download feature does not work. For pictures, the download option isn’t even available in the context menu and for videos the option is available, but when I use it, I get a toast message saying “An error has occurred, please try again later”.

Downloading works for both images and videos with the old Sync feature.

Also, if I create a different library, e.g. of type “Other Videos”, I am able to download the same video file, so the problem is probably not with the files themselves.

If this is a bug, I hope that it can be fixed before the old Sync feature is removed.

Same here. “Sync” work with all libraries, “Download” won’t do pictures.
Critical feature for my home usage, hope they fix it soon.

I will get rid of Plex Pass if this is not resolved by the time they totally ditch the Legacy Sync. I hope they would fix that before then.

Same here. I moved all my content to the new Download thing but I can’t download pictures yet. What a bummer, because the biggest problems I have with Sync happen with photos.
