When creating a new DVR in the latest Plex Media server for windows multiple EPG locations can not be added by postal code.
If a second or more postal code is added, only the last postal code added with have matched channels download the guide listings. Channels from other EPG locations do not appear in guide despiste having matched in setup.
In my case the multiple EPG locations were all over the air Local Broadcast Listings.
Downgrading to a 1.25 version, setting up DVR with two postal codes, and upgrading to latest allowed me to setup the DVR properly and retain EPG data.

I’m having this issue as well, which sucks as I was really looking forward to using this (just got my first homerun flex 4k).
If I add just my primary zip code, there are around 10 unmatched channels, but if I continue anyways everything works fine (I just don’t have those channels).
If I add a second zip code, I can match those ten missing channels on the setup page and it looks great, but once I apply everything my Plex instance only has channels from the most recently added zip code - meaning, I only have the ten channels the second zipcode grabbed TOTAL.
I don’t know what the bug is, but for me it boils down to this:
When adding additional zipcodes when setting up Live TV channel listings for a local tuner, Plex isn’t utilizing all of them when actually finalizing things and is only using the most recent. This makes half of the channels effectively unusable when you have a tuner grabbing channels across regions.
Plex Server Version 1.32.5.7328, Windows 10.
Edit: Could a mod or team member at least reply to let us know if you’re aware of this? I bought a home run specifically for Plex and due to this bug have to pick only half of my available channels at a time.
Okay, so per the OP I said screw it and did what he said - I uninstalled my server and grabbed a copy of the most recent version of server 1.25. Set everything up there and it all worked perfectly, then upgraded back to the live version and it’s all still there. Outside of having to wait FOREVER for my library to update after the downgrade (I have a big library) it seems to be fine.
This, at least, 100% confirms it’s a software issue/bug due to something they changed, and that it’s on Plex to fix this in the server software. Again, I’m not sure why nobody has replied to this.
For anybody that can’t or just doesn’t want to wait, this rollback → set up → re-update method seems to be your only choice.
Thank you for logging this issue. Glad to see I’m not losing my marbles. I had to set up my DVR again about a month ago, but it is doing exactly as outlined by Nick.
I’m wondering does downgrading my media server result in having to fine-tune your library again? E.g. matches, posters, etc. I’m not sure I could face going thru that again if that was the case.
Thanks for any input you can provide. Fingers crossed the dev squad are working on a fix - I’m a big Plex fan, my wife is also a big fan & really likes its design (because she is a proper technophobe!). Life will be golden if you could fix this!
Installed old version, waited forever at the “updating libraries” prompt (it can take a long time, just wait, it’s not frozen)
Set up DVR properly
Updated server to latest version once DVR was set up (using the built-in updater; I had to do this twice, it failed the first time)
After that, I was good. Uninstalling the server does not actually remove your database files or anything else. All posters, custom metadata, collections, matches, etc remained.
If you’re on *nix or something else I would back up your database and stuff beforehand just to be safe, in case dpkg -r or whatever you use does delete them.
I installed the latest beta of PMS and it does work better, but there are still issues to be resolved.
One issue is that if you select multiple providers (from different locations) with large numbers of channels, when going to map individual channels it appears that you can’t scroll down to the 2nd provider (it shows on the bottom of the list with the provider name and # of channels but nothing underneath it).
Also I’ve gotten this message multiple times after completely deleting a DVR and trying to add it back: “It looks like you have already set up a lineup for this location.”.
Plex will only handle about 400 channels, if the total number from all the listing exceeds that you will have to disable them on the tuner. What device are you using?
Using Xteve and I only have about 200 channels coming across. The issue isn’t with the 200 channels but rather the EPG providers (both are around 900 channels each).
For now I just switched back to my own EPG as it seems to be a hassle to get the Plex built-in working with multiple locations.
I’m terrified to attempt to reconfigure as I don’t want to have to roll back again to fix it. Can anybody confirm the latest release completely fixes this?
Also, in response to somebody else - this happened regardless of the number of channels. I was nowhere near 200, closer to 40.
