The lack of plexpass features is absolutely horrific. Somehow it not only broke the Roku app, it even broke the preview app on Roku too!

I’ll add here, unsure if it’s the same or not, but while I can set auto-login for the main user of the account, managed users can no longer auto-login which is a pain for my wife and kids’ devices. Can we get back the auto-login option? Is that what you were referring to @Atomatth
Furthermore, on my Android 9 older device, the movie tiles don’t load, they just show grey placeholders. When I click them, they’ll show the correct media and things work as expected, but in the main menu they just show up as grey. Thoughts?
My wife just got the latest release and it completely breaks casting. On the latest version and the new experience version the cast button finds no devices. I agree with the sentiment of this topic. This software is not ready for release. I would seriously reconsider rolling it out until the bugs are worked out. Now I have to go side load an older version so my wife can cast shows for my kids. Terrible

Yes, it is.
If you are running any form of DNS security (Pihole or other DNS service), might pay to try adding this as an exception or trying with a non filtered DNS server. This was posted as a suggestion by a Plex employee elsewhere (I can’t find the discussion, but noted the URL at the time).

Casting to Chromecast from iOS, still won’t show subtitles, server version 4.145.1, ios app version 2025.12.0
@Craig_Holliday is the plex dev team aware of of this?
Anyone else really dislike how rounded all the buttons are? I feel like pill shaped buttons went out of style in 2003 on the web. I think much angular buttons look much better.

Now that auto skip is back, the main reason I hated the update, I’m trying to get used to the navigation. I think some tweaks (like being able to pin playlists to the homepage) will make a big difference.
That said, the app is a battery killer. I leave plex running all night, playing tv shows I know by heart, usually. And even on my wireless charger I woke up to a 1% battery this morning. So it was draining battery faster than it could charge. That never happened with the old app or with infuse. I hope this gets prioritized in a near update to fix!

This is one of the worst UI/IX rollouts I’ve ever seen. Libraries are missing (or don’t display) most of the time, playlists are completely missing (along with the ability to add something to a playlist. Airplay only uses like half a screen, even when the media is in 1080p. Airplay battery usage is atrocious and the navigation isn’t responsive. The Airplay experience was great before…put it back.
You guys pulled a Sonos. Put the old UI back and then fire your UI/UX manager (or whoever signed off on this failure).
Next time, please do some testing before you roll out such a large update. These things should have been super easy to catch.
Remember to update your rating on iOS. Often that’s the only way to goad large companies into doing the right thing.

Tried to watch something on plex (ipad m4). Switching libraries froze the app. Can’t tap anything. Kill it and open it again. Switched libraries but now there’s a dark overlay on the new library like some popup tried to open. Can’t tap anything. Gave up and started looking for alternatives to this garbage. (Emby and jellyfin if anyone is looking)

Playlists are completely missing on all devices
The setting to force portrait mode is only available in the plsying window AFTER it is opened. And it ALWAYS opens in landcape mode …
Thank you for your reply. I’ll wait with updating the Apple TV app when Dutch is supported. Perhaps there was no direct translations done by Plex in the past as you mention, but i did not notice major spelling issues with the version prior to this release.
Any timeline when the languages (generated perhaps from other sources? Users? or automated?) will be available?
