Have been using Plex on my DS218+ with no issues for a long time but now when I add new media to my library it doesn’t show up. Have tried re-scanning.
I’ve created a new shared folder in the usual way, added media, doesn’t show up.
I’ve tried accessing from my MAC, iPhone, Fire TV and LG OLED, nothing.
The media that was already in my library is still visible in the Library and playable and when I delete media it is removed from the library. Just can’t add new.
I can see/play all media (including newly added) from the LG OLED video app, so I don’t think there’s any issue with the files/server access.
There’s a number of different scenarios why plex might ignore your new media. Some are:
unsupported formats such as disc images
files named based on the tv show naming schema will be ignored by a movie type library (the same goes for files named in accordance to the movie naming schema that won’t be added to a tv show type library)

Permissions are all set ok. No media in the default folders or Plex.
Have tried adding copies of existing media to a new library and still nothing.
Also noticed after creating new libraries I can’t delete them.
Is there a way to uninstall PMS and remove all trace of it? I’ve uninstalled it from the NAS but when I reinstall it has all my libraries etc and all the same problems.
