New movie scanner

I just wanted to say thank you to the people who have worked so hard to ruin plex. The new movie scanner is a joke. It continuously matches movies completely wrong and then when you un match it wont remove the names or posters, you have to manually remove the wrong everything only for plex to add it back next time it scans. I wish i had never upgraded matching or spent money on a lifetime plex pass. I am finally finished with plex, enjoy your ■■■■ software. Anyone want to buy a lifetime plex pass account?

You can use the old scanner if you prefer that one…

Did you name & organize your files the right way?
https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-movie-media-files/
and if you want to match all your movies 100% of the time you can add the imdb/tmdb id to your file and/or folder name.

Yet another not following naming conventions. As Alexandra said it not a compulsory scanner.

There is a known bug which will be fixed shortly.
Until then, edit your movie library,
go to the “Advanced” tab
and DISable “Include adult content”

I would love to know which titles it’s matching poorly so we can improve it going forward. We’ve been running version 1.20.0 in beta for an extended time to pick up on things exactly like this.

Would you mind providing me examples of mismatches (the exact path to the files and what it’s incorrectly matching to) or if you’re feeling generous it would be great if you could create a new movie library and point it to the same files as your existing one then let it scan in and finish refreshing and send me your database (you can DM it to me directy) - to grab the database you can go to Settings -> Troubleshooting -> Download database.

Thanks for the feedback, hope we can get your library matching 100%!
