All movies play normal with the new player no issues.
All my tv shows are converted by plex optimized for Android tv. TV shows Play with audio only and no picture. My server shows over 100mb in use for starting a mp4 that is around 350mb. Plex locks up and stops responding I have sent several crashes thru the app. I am currently switching back to the old player as it works perfectly. Please send the new player back to the beta group for further testing.

Nice try. I found the old versions online. I solved the problem though - I had turned the ‘experimental player’ on. I found the switch for it way down in the advanced settings, and turned the bloody thing off.
I’ve been using Plex since it was a free app, and i spend more time trying to get it to work right than watching it. I’ve learned one thing … Never, never upgrade it. If it’s working, leave it alone. So many times, the ‘upgrades’ just made it worse.
I dumped my Roku, because they screwed Plex up so bad. Now I use a cheap Android box connected to the TV. Unfortunately there’s no switch to use an external video player on the Android implementation. Stuff that won’t play on Plex works just fine on BXPlayer.
