Also please keep in mind this happens with any type of media. It is definitely not the fault of the codec or anything like that. Plus my server is ridiculously beefy (i7 9700k with 64GB of RAM and an NVidia GTX 1050-ti).
There were a few different versions in your log file, so it was a bit hard to see what’s currently happening. We’ve been trying to reproduce over the last several days, but not been able to reproduce it yet. Just curious if you’re still seeing this in the 8.3 beta?
Hmmm, I still haven’t bee able to repro. If you could reproduce on 8.3, could we get both the client and server logs (debug level only, please), then let us know the time it occurred?
It’s exactly the same as last time when i sent the logs. Latest version of both the client and NVidia Shield release. Episodes freeze in “playlist” or “shuffle” mode after a few episodes and the only way to fix it is to rewind or fast forward or skip the episode to “unstick” it.
PLEASE stop turning on the new player automatically, my family regularly uses 7 different Fire TVs and with every update I need to go around turning the new player off, it’s a nightmare. Everytime we use the new player it causes issues plus losing the ability to jump through a list of episodes like in the old player is awful. The new interface for skipping through episodes shows so many fewer in the list and is much much slower because of the thumbnails, if you were going to changing anything I’d prefer it showed episode titles in the play queue.
If you’re having issues with the new player, please let us know what they are. As I’ve stated before, the old player will be going away, and the new player will be the “only” player. We’re endeavouring to fix any remaining issues before removing the old player, so would appreciate hearing what issues you’re seeing.

No video only audio on all videos with new player.
windows 10 pro shows the Device is playing the mp4 movie as “Direct Play”
Movie will not stop if you back out with the back button and only closing the app will allow you to stop the movie. “Seems to be stuck”.
Disable the new player and all movie and tv shows work correctly and play direct.
This issue was the Same for my Minix u9h the was fixed a few months back and i reported and it was fixed.
Stop forcing us to use the New Player with every update while the old player is still there and bugs still exist in the new player.
My problems are the same ones others have discussed such as it back to back episodes not working and I often will play something and I can hear it but the screen is just frozen. I also wish there was an option to use the play queue listing from the old player with the new player, you can view as many items with the new play queue and it performs much slower.
