Today I woke up to Plex looking completely different. Wonderful. I’m sure plenty of us hate how un-intuitive it is… anyway… When I cast to a Google device, the screen will just say “PLEX” and not change with whatever I have selected on my phone/tablet/PC like it used to. While connected, if I choose to shuffle a show, the show plays on my local device, and not on the device I’m casting to, despite being connected.
If I do this in the opposite order and choose to play the file on my phone/tablet by selecting shuffle first, there is NO CASTING OPTION once the video starts playing. How is something so basic overlooked? Please someone fix this.
It’s now been an entire month since they broke this basic functionality that any other media player inherently includes. I cannot fathom why the f_ck they would remove this. The fact that we can’t even get a reply of whether or not this will come back or if it’s even being worked on tells us everything we need to know - Plex staff does not give a f_ck about their users. They want your money and that’s it. F_ck your feature requests, f_ck your preferences, and f_ck you.
Apparently it’s too hard for anyone there to make a simple post letting us know anything. Pathetic.
