Noticed that instead of the default dark grey background that was always visible when browsing, there is a new dynamic background blur which is based on the poster art and thus changes depending on which item you are selecting.
Finding it quite distracting and wondering if anyone knows if it can be disabled so you can get the old fixed background?
Note this is separate from the Background Style you can configure in settings which offers you a dimmed or blurred fanart background when clicking on Movies or TV shows.
I concur. It feels like a distracting and gimmicky “because we can” feature, and seems to be resulting in rendering bugs (items showing up blank until I move the cursor to them). Not to mention the weird behaviour where it will keep, say, the bright green colours from the last poster even when you’re browsing the sidebar and settings etc.
Certainly an option to disable it would be appreciated.
[On the plus side, it seems like the scrolling bugs from the last few releases have been fixed, so kudos to the Apple TV dev for that.]
