Hello I have old PLEX media Server on my QNAP T2-431 downloaed from QNAP App Center in 2017. It worked always ok with the client PLEX app on my App TV
now there is newer version 1.19.3.2843 which I try to install but is not compatible with my NAS FW version ( 4.2.3 ) . I do not want to upgrade FW of ny QNAP TurnoNAS as I know other app will not work. Is there a way to downgrade on my Apple TV the PLEX client application?
Thanks for helping
I believe Plex is currently looking into this. So if you can, you might want to wait a moment to see if there’s going to be a fix.
If you’re stuck on an old OS / PMS version you should disable automatic updates of client apps (this would have been of little consolation as the recent break wasn’t announced… but it’ll still be a good practice).
Thanks
Yes I will disable automatic update on my Apple TV , but now I have the last PLEX client on Apple TV and I think I cannot return back or downgrade right?
So if I understand I have to wait a new update of the client On the AppleTV which will be able to connect on older Plex ‘sServer version?
Thx
Fair point
You can bookmark the release announcement thread for Plex on Apple TV (using the forum “bookmark” function at the end of the thread). This way you will get an e-mail notification with some info what’s in each release (unless you disabled e-mail notifications).
Edit: modified version of the link to the release announcements of Plex for Apple TV
Hi I cannot access this https://forums.plex.tv/categories/plex-for-apple-tv I get following message " Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private."

Try this link instead… forum doesn’t seem to like links without a trailing /
Plex have just released a hot fix for their clients on iOS and tvOS that addresses this issue.
