Thanks. Looks like the same issue as reported yesterday, I have a fix for it in the next build.

Do you have any movies inside the folder with your TV shows?

yes.this folder have animate ova sp and
miniseriess

Thanks, just a reminder that for best results you should keep media types separated.

Hi. Thanks for advising on my issue. I’ve moved the files that were incorrectly placed in TV to Movies. The placeholders / tiles remain & can’t be deleted.

Did you already fix this bug and in which release? Because I still couldn’t see my old playhistory at show level. Now I changed the agent back to themoviedb because I also had another weird bug with the play history where when I marked an episode of season 3 as played/unplayed the episode of season 1 was also marked as played/unplayed (this only happend for one show).

I was also wondering if the my playhistory at show level will be available again when I upgrade my library back to the BETA plex TV show scanner with the bugfix or do I maybe have to manually fix something in the db file?

Just to keep this thread updated. The problem I had with this one show was that my local artwork was named with a space at the beginning of the filename.

-rw-r--r--. 1 501 mcurran 95847 Jan 8 2019 ' season01.jpg'
should have been
-rw-r--r--. 1 501 mcurran 95847 Jan 8 2019 season01.jpg

have fixed the filenames and now that issue is resolved. Thanks @drzoidberg33 for your help with this one.

This depends. If you are on the latest build and you then changed the agent on an existing library and refreshed the metadata that should work.

If you already had a library that had this issue then it will get fixed when your scheduled tasks run, specifically the one that does the database backup.

Thanks. It will be recommened to remove any of the test libraries you’ve created and create a new library when the release goes public anyway.

Odd bug and maybe a edge case but said I’d report it. This appears to be the steps and its a bit intermittent:

  • Star Trek: The Next Generation which has the naming order of TVDB – Basically Star Trek TNG S01E01-E02 Encounter at Farpoint, Star Trek TNG S01E03 The Naked Now etc…
  • On the library itself I have set the default to TMDB ordering
  • The TMDB order differs to TVDB order for the season 01 as TMDB has Encounter at Farpoint as 1 episode rather than two which knocks everything out by 1 in the ordering…
  • All episodes in the show are marked as watched
  • Now edit the show, change the ordering to TVDB (aired) under advanced

What happens is that 23 episodes in S01 now become unwatched.

It can be a bit intermittent so might need to be done a few times making sure to set watched and changing between library default and TVDB (aired). Logs attached.

EDIT: Star Wars Rebels is showing a similar problem when switching ordering from one to another. With Rebels S01E01 and S01E02 appear to be getting mixed up when switching multiple times. Issue might be related to switching ordering more than once.

American Gladiators 1989:
AMERICAN GLADIATORS 1988 IMDB

First and only bug I’ve experienced over the past couple months! For some odd reason seasons 1-4 have all of the Metadata for title and description, but then seasons 5-7 lack the title/description data. Confirmed it does indeed exist on IMDB, tried refreshing Metadata, un-matching and then re-matching etc.

The new agent has been amazing otherwise!

@OhMyBahGosh I’d say your library is setup to use the ordering from TMDB (American Gladiators (TV Series 1988- ) — The Movie Database (TMDb)) which only has 4 seasons for this show. Try adjusting the show to use TVDB which has the 7 seasons (American Gladiators (1989) - TheTVDB.com).

Ha! Nice find.

I think I’ve got a fix for this one.

Good call! I’m a moron lmfao! Switched back to TVDB and all is good! I don’t know why I had it set to TMDB, must of been messing around with the settings on night lol

Forum Preview version 1.22.0.4127-6a8b26793
(links have been updated in the first post)

Fixes:

  • Some items could potentially get corrupt dates inserted causing some views to not work (recommended pages, filters, etc). This fix will prevent it from happening but not retroactively fix it, please either remove the problem library or restore from a backup prior to the issue.
  • Changing episode ordering could lead to watched statutes getting reset on certain seasons.
  • Refreshing metadata on an Unmatched show could take longer than it should.
  • Episodes with multiple media could show as two separate episodes in rare cases.

The update here New Plex Media Server TV show/series scanner and agent preview - #400 is probably the last update for the forum preview. It fixes a few things that were discovered in the past few days.

This build is likely to officially go out to public beta later today.

Is this issue resolved in this build ?

Also, DVD order was not working for Lost or Terra Nova, is that resolved yet ? Think that might be a back-end thing rather than a build change.

Not yet, and yes, these are specific to the metadata service and won’t require a server update. Once resolved a metadata refresh will correct these problems.
