New Plex on LG TV's

Server Version#: 1.30.2.6563

Hello,

I noticed a few days ago my LG TV updated its Plex app. I love getting updates, except this one was very confusing. In the past and on all other devices Plex displays a yellow triangle in the upper right for shows that have not been watched and nothing for shows that have been watched. Now it shows nothing for shows that have not been watched (complete opposite) and a green check circle in the upper right for ones that have been watched (hard to see). At first, I started deleting stuff I hadn’t watched until I realized this. Why??? Why would you make one version the complete opposite of all the others?

Is there any way to get the yellow triangles back?

Thanks in advance.

I agree that this was confusing, and while I quickly figured out what had changed, the small green check can be really hard to see. I also preferred the previous corner triangles that indicated unwatched content.

Plex is changing watched/unwatched on all clients, not just LG. There are several threads in the forum about it.

There is no way to go back to the yellow triangle short of Plex reversing direction.

Here’s another one from the LG section with links to additional threads.

Where is the data or blog post backing up this unilateral decision?

Thats unfortunate. I’m all for design changes and this one probably seems small as it’s just asthetic but a complete opposite in the way it was for no good reason seems a bit odd. I wonder if there were user complaints. Anyway, I guess it is what it is and we’ll all get used to it. Thanks for the replies.
