New Plex server managed accounts cannot stream remote

Server Version#:Version 1.43.4.10903
Player Version#:

I have the remote watch pass on my account. I have a managed account and gave it access to my new server. On my old server, the managed account was able to access all my media. On my new server, I get a message in the settings menu that says: User can’t watch remotely

Upgrade to a Plex Pass to unlock remote watching for anyone on your server

I don’t understand why I would need a plex pass for my managed accounts to access my media, when this was not required before. Also, on the support page it states:

Does my Remote Watch Pass extend to other accounts accessing my Plex Media Server?

Generally speaking, no. Our optional Remote Watch Pass subscription applies only to the specific account on which the subscription was started.

  • If you’ve added Managed Accounts to your Plex Home, then it does apply when switched to those Managed Accounts in a player app.

So is this a bug or am I doing something wrong when I migrated to my new server?

Is your new server linked to the same Plex account as the old server?
The behavior for your managed accounts shouldn’t differ between the old and new servers as the Remote Watch Pass is linked to your account, not individual servers.

I signed into the server using the same account, yes. And what’s interesting is that when I go to the account information on the server, it shows my remote watch pass, but when I go to plex home and select the managed account, it gives that warning about upgrade to plex pass.
