@Ric_Cypher the image URLs for the actors are in the xml that you provided.
such as
<Role id="58403" filter="actor=58403" tag="Terry Chen" role="Commander Shumway" thumb="https://metadata-static.plex.tv/people/5d7768254de0ee001fcc84fe.jpg"/>
can you go to the URL https://metadata-static.plex.tv/people/5d7768254de0ee001fcc84fe.jpg in browser without issue?
Yes I can. I have just change the setting in the TV Shows to use the TheTVDb agent and all the actors images are coming back
Did you get a āUpgrade Libraryā notification after you made the agent switch to TVDB?
Did you āupgradeā library, or are you just living with the notification?
I tried both. When i upgraded the library it took many of the actors images out. When I used the TVdb, agent most of the actors images reappeared.
I donāt know if it helps or not, but when I used the TVdb agent, the TV shows load a lot faster than when I use the new Plex TV agent.
hey @Ric_Cypher regarding your message to me. if you delete the library that is based on the TVDB agent then create a new one with the Plex TV Series agent then you will lose the view/watched status on the shows for your user(s). Watch status is linked to the agent the show/movie is matched with.
If you are going to delete the library I would also Clean bundles and delete the http cache before creating the new one.
When creating new one suggest is using the Plex TV Series agent but leave the episode ordering for that agent on TheMovieDb (aired) unless a specific show requires one of the TVDB orders. I would also disable āprefer local metadataā and āuse local assetsā before hitting the save, if creating a new library.
I have that show āthe 100ā, use the the Plex TV series agent with TMDB ordering as default and just canāt figure out how to reproduce what you are seeing.
This is what I got after doing exactly as you described.
When I refreshed it got even worse
Do you āPrefer local metadataā enabled on the library (Edit ā Advanced)?
No, Already been through this with big show. The second pic was using TVDB agent as the agent and this last one is MovieDB agent.
Perhaps it has something to do with being in Australia⦠perhaps the Plex TV agent isnāt giving full region full access.
Is your language set to āEnglish (Australia)ā for the library?
No, just English. The English (Australia) didnāt used to be an option. Iāll try that. Will I need to refresh the TV shows?
I was just maybe considering that being a potential source of the issue, but if itās just set to the default English (US) then that blows away that theory.
And yes, you would need to refresh things although that language change shouldnāt change much unless there are some specific show titles that are different for Australia.
The main language for the server can only be set to English (UK) or English. I have change the one in TV shows.
It does seem to matter what combination and languages I use it does make any difference. I tried change to United States for main server language and the same for the TV shows, but no difference.
does not make any difference mean
Not sure what the issue is. It should show the same images as seen here: The 100 (2014) | Plex is where to watch your movies and TV
Could you do a metadata refresh for the show, wait until itās done and then grab the server logs. I might be able to see something there but Iām not sure.
I have noticed that under the new TV agent a lot of the specials are not being recognised.
