Server Version#: 1.18.4.2171
Player Version#: Roku 6.4 build 9
Heads up to all - So I’m trying to watch some content, and it looks like I got a new updated client, because it’s pushing me to reconfigure my home screen…again. So I go turn off the new plex-provided media, but now, when I try to drop down my server to add my libraries back (that were working fine before, I’m not sure why those user settings didn’t carry over), it won’t drop down and let me select anything …
It happened on my bedroom tv last night, but I was able to add my content libraries back. Now, maybe another update rolled out? Both living room and bedroom had the issue.
I did a server restart, and now the bedroom TV gave me the option to drop down my server and add libraries, but living room is still no dice.
Starting this in case anyone else is having the issue.
go to the user menu on the top left ( your avatar) select it then choose “reset customizations” which should start the wizard to choose a primary server and which libraries from that server you want to PIN to start with.
In the Roku app as well it might help to set Settings>Advanced>Allow Insecure connections to “On the same network”
Thanks for the tip. I gave another restart, and now it’s all better somehow. Was already set for insecure server on the same network, and I had reset the user profile like you mentioned. Even uninstalled and reinstalled previous as well. Weird…
Maybe if possible, we could keep the user profile settings intact between updates?
I could buy into a memory leak, though the TV’s are 2018 and 2019 tcls, so unless it’s a manufacturer specific issue, I’m not sure what other common trait there is. It’s not the first time I had to re-pin everything when the app updated, but I didn’t see much in the forums, so maybe I’m an isolated incident?
