I own two Roku devices connected to two TV’s a Roku3 and Roku streaming stick both the systems have latest software versions 6.2 build 3469. For the past few months, we have been enjoying shared libraries catalog from a friend of ours.
I have bought Roku app plex licenses for both. Since the past 5 days 07/15/2015 we can no longer see those shared libraries on Roku. Where as I can see them on all other devices I have plex on such as Android, Ios and Microsoft windows 8.1
My friend has not changed anything on his end on his plex media server.
Can you please help, I have contacted Roku, they claim they do not have any clue besides they say it is a app developer domain issue. Plex shared libraries were one of the most watched program we use our Roku for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
please edit your post to change the category you attached it to. It should be changed from Other to Roku Streaming Players which you will find in the drop-down of Category
It is very possible that the servers have switched to using the new SSL secure feature and the standard Roku Plex app does not support that yet.
This support page covers the new SSL / Secure Connections feature and lists the supported clients:
