But is it possible to pass-through DTS audio stream to the optical-out so my home cinema receiver can play DTS …

The official plex app does not support untouched audio pass-through on my Samsung QE65Q90R.

Is it possible to add this feature to the new app ?

I haven’t reverted back to the old version to test, but I noticed that my TV is showing duplicate entries as a castable player in the Web App

They both seem to work.

Related to this, neither seems to show up on my Plex App for iOS. Is that something to be diagnosed from the Samsung app side or the iOS side?

Is your TV, by any chance, connected to your network by Wifi and LAN ? It could be that both interfaces are being shown by Plex

I had something similar on my Plex server when the Windows 10 2004 update broke Intel’s NIC teaming and I ended up with 4 instances showing when I ran the client on there.

Sorry if it’s already been reported, but we seem to have lost the ability to use up/down on the remote to jump forward 30min or back 10min…can that be added back and/or configureable?

I’m glad that’s gone. With the new 2020 remote, you can’t get to the chapter select, without jumping all over the damn place.

Interesting point… but i suspect that the issue is the tc. If it will not pass dts to ARC, then not likely to pass to spidf

As of this evening, audio is dropping out after watching minutes of a show. Skip back, and audio returns, but often (not always) cuts out at same point. Skip forward and audio is OK. But will drop out later again.

Can you provide logs? Make sure log to server is enabled in settings and reproduce the issue before sending logs.

For some reason, this last update has really slowed things down. There is a longer buffering both when loading the libraries and when starting a movie or episode. Also, I noticed that the issue with Collections was not mentioned (no backgrounds, overview, shuffle, connected collection in other libraries). Can you assure us that it’s still being addressed?

Yes there’s still some ongoing work with it. Which screens in particular are slower, do you remember?

But the preview app refuses to load itself! As soon as i unblock streaming services, app loads without any problem.

The preview requires an internet connection, because the app is loaded remotely for faster releases.

I got this when going to the settings once.

That’s super funky. Has it ever happened again? Do you remember the details of what happened? (Eg. During playback, paused then opened player settings, or opened the settings while the player was playing, etc)

Unfortunately not. The device won’t even see the DTS streams, so passthrough doesn’t work.

Since the last update movie collections claims the server is unavailable but eveything plays from it fine in general movies/TV show views.

Change the skip forward and back for recorded playback from 30s each skip to 10s

Also when skipping forward is fixed for live TV viewing same 10s each skip

FIXED:

• Fixed an issue causing missing textures on certain devices.
• Fixed subtitles sometimes disappearing briefly while playing.
• Fixed subtitles not displaying for other parts of multi-part media.
• Sometimes with Live TV playback, metadata and player progress was not showing.
• Fixed incorrect filters showing for albums in the library screen.
• Fixed progress bars extending off the edge of recorded TV items.
• Fixed wrong style for Movies & TV Continue Watching.
• Default screensaver type setting to plex logo.
• Fixed regression crash when editing subtitle offset.
• Live TV guide was not showing up for managed users.
• Use HLS for transcodes and remuxes for Tizen 5.5 devices.
  • Tizen 5.5 does not want to work with DASH very well. I’ve reached out to Samsung to find the cause of this problem, but for now, using HLS seems to resolve most of the issues.

1. Feature request: On home screen add recently viewed channels. It’s a surprisingly useful feature on the Apple TV Plex app and it would be great to add to the smart TV app.

2. Added detail recorded playback skipping: when paused skip increment is 10s, but using the same buttons while playing skip increment is 30s but not consistently. 10s increment for all skip would be best.

3. Live viewing skip forward after pause: I suspect it is still on the Todo list just confirming that trying to skip forward or back both result in jumping to start of the live viewing
