Another thing I noticed is that the filter for a specific library gets reset each time I switch from one library to another. For example in the previous version I had a library configured to list only Animation content for fast access and now it’s always set to “All” content, meaning that I have to click a few times in order to get the filtered content back.
Not a deal breaker but really liked that option to “stick” if possible.
tnx again for a great update and grid view for live tv!
trying the tizen-preview on Samsung Qe55q90ratxxu, firmware 1356.2 and it recognises my account but says my servers unreachable or offline.
this is not the case, it was connected before the preview and when exiting, it reconnects just fine.
Therefore i believe the error is in the new version. i have tried twice now with the same error.
My server is on Win 10, version 1909 and updated to 2004. no difference in the results.
plex version on tv 5.0.9
platform version 5
device resolution 1920x1080
One thing I noticed today on the Early Access app, the new app does not advertise as a “companion payer” to the Alexa app. When I ask Alexa to change the default player, she says there are no players on my network. If I leave early access, Alexa lists my Samsung TV as an option to set it to.
I know many people probably don’t use Alexa, it’s always worked great for me. Just thought I would add a heads up.
Even with a brand new 32" it’s not possible to use. At least in the Netherlands this small models are only in FHD. So no modern Plex app in the bedroom.
The guide LOOKS great… but I can’t get any Live TV to play in the new app. It just buffers endlessly.
Live TV works fine in the old app. When I Leave Early Access, and go back to the old version- I can play live TV without any problem.
Samsung 75" Q6D, I think the model number is QN75Q60RAFXZA. Running app 5.0.9, Plex server version 1.19.4.2935- up to date as of this post. HDHomeRun Dual tuner.
Ok so more feedback…I actually prefer the old interface where when you go into an episode in your dashboard/dock it shows all relevant information for that episode and shows the rest of the season information below that.
When playing media it shows progress bar with current play time and media length whereas old interface showed you the actual end time when the episode/movie would end.
Lol! I’m guessing the interface is something they’ll work on once they have functionality sorted out and I’m ok with that.
So on that note I just had a ‘bug’…was watching a mkv file and got a call, paused and the call went on for a bit till screensaver kicked in (which [for now?] seems to be random images or random images presumably from your media?) …anyway once call was done I tried to resume media, I got audio but no picture. I tried rewinding but still no picture, had to stop play and then resume to watch the show from where I left off.
