Brand new server setup just imported my libararies and absolutely no metadata is showing for any library (TV, Movie, Music, etc)
Error is MetadataAgentPostProcessor: failed to find agent for identifier tv.plex.agents.movie
or any other agent with same error.
Happy to supply logs, just not sure which ones you will need.
The server logs are required, it’s a single zip file with everything required.
I just fixed it but not sure why…when I set it up I went into Settings → Agents and like always I moved TVDB, Last.fm, and The Movie Database to the top of the list.
I must have unchecked Local Media Assets or they were never checked at install. I put a check in Local Media Assets for all the catagories and Boom!!! it works now.
In the logs I can it noting “Doing expensive tags write for ‘Eight Days a Week’ because something changed.” for each and every item.
Is that normal? Does the Local Media Asset need to be checked and at the bottom of the list?
I don’t recall ever having to set that before.
A New server install should be using the new agent/scanner. If your choices look the same as mine here, the part of the UI you’re describing no longer applies to you
3 dots next to the library → Manage Library → Edit → Advanced
You do not need local media assets checked, and I’m not sure that was actually what solved your issue unless you can reproduce it
I don’t know if your logs will show anything relevant without the error, but I would post them anyway to see if drzoidberg33 sees anything worth investigating
