[SOLVED] Media matches perfectly, but metadata download is hit & miss

Server Version#: 1.18.0.1913
Player Version (web client?)#: 4.8.4

I know this is a recurring thread - I’ve read most of the others, and tried everyone’s suggestions, but am still stuck with hit/miss metadata.

I don’t have any promlems matching media. All agents appear to find the right matches. I have even tried re-mating using the IMDB ref (which also finds the right match). But - although the server alters pages says downloading metadata and finished processing - the metadata doesn’t actually get associated with the media - no posters, year, details etc.

Take a simple one like Con Air 1997 (naming convention doesn’t appear to be the issue either. Have tried with both Con Air (1997) and Con Air - 1997. But after mating, downloading metadata, and finished processing, the media just has a frame grab as the poster and no metatdata. Have checked by editing and there’s no other posters etc.

NB: does not seems to be an issue for television… only movies.

How about we check your web app Settings - Libraries

And we should also check what has priority inside Settings - Agents

In my picture you can see Local Media Assets is second in the order.
Let us know how it goes.

Local was third in my lists. But all good now - just had to uncheck (so not use at all) the filthy ‘Local Media Assets’. Pulling everything from web seems to sort it out (after it refreshes entire library metadata.
