First of all I am excited to make this work flawlessly compared to my current setup.
1 - Is there a way to look at the guide by time and calendar? I prefer the old windows media center style. It seem a little harder to find the content that I would like to record.
2 - Where is the log that would tell me why the recording was missed? I looked in the usual “logs” spot in local app data.

The closest I can come is to go to Program Guide and filter Shows or Movies by Episodes by Airing.

If you know the content you want to record simply use the search field for it and it will display in the results as long as it is in the guide data. If you want something kind of like a guide the above suggestion is probably the best option.
Thanks, I knew about the above option, I just hoped there was some thing that I was missing. I looked at the logs and didn’t really see any info about the recording starting. I will take a closer look. Thanks!
