New to Plex -- cannot figure out why it doesn't let me add to my Library - HELP

Server Version#:1.42.2.10156f737b826c

Player Version#:no idea
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

Please be kind. I downloaded and ensured I only had one account and deleted any old accounts. When I go to Add Library it doesn’t allow me to click to add.

Why would they make this so complex?

In order to complete the setup you need to open your Plex Media Server through its local IP.

If you’re on the same device… open http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in your browser. If you’re on a different machine inside your home network, use http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web instead. On Windows, you should be able to achieve the same by clicking „Open Plex“ in the context menu of the Plex icon in your system tray.

This will bring up a wizard/dialog where you can name your server and link it to your Plex account (as well as creating your first libraries).

Once you “claimed” your server (=linked it to your Plex account), you’ll also be able to access it from other Plex apps or via http://app.plex.tv/desktop.

Thank you. Originally, that link just went right to the Plex site only. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the server and this time Add Libraries “Next” button works but then if I try to add any video specifically an MKV file, it is grayed out and does not let me add?

Let’s start with… you shouldn’t add individual movies/videos to Plex.
Add a library folder to your Plex library, e.g.

Movies <- the folder linked to your Plex library
  The Godfather (1972)
    The Godfather (1972).mkv
  The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
    The Shawshank Redemption (1994).mkv
