On my Samsung TV, subtitles are displayed at peak brightness when transcoding an HDR 4K video. Still, a huge compliment to all the developers involved: The new transcoder works great! I tested a few old AVIs – everything’s fine. However, there is one MPEG1 encoded video that doesn’t play. The logs are here at 15:40:

I am unable to reproduce your issue with the sample you sent me. I see that you sent me an mkv when the file in your logs are an avi. If the original file is too large to send can you please follow the procedure here to generate a smaller file?

Sorry, you’re right. The shortened file has lost the error. I’ve tested several programs – the output does not show the error. That’s why I’ve uploaded the original avi-file here. It’s “only” 182MB in size, but it shows the error. It’s a poor-quality VHS rip.
