This is how all maps are setup, and for normal tv series and movie it works on plex with the correct art and info.
But when i try this for anime it looks like this in plex. Anidb:
This 1 is the closed how i want it
8 seasons in 1 folder and the rest in separate folders
It looks good for some season and it do not look good for others.
But when u check closer the all messed up i get vid file of season 8 with names from season 1.
So it looks like anidb is failed.
So i tried then HamaTV:
Well here ad least each season is in there correct folder and same for the episodes but the all lost there name and there is no info about the show ad all.
Then personal media shows:
Here it go part good same as HamaTV but part of the art works and the names are correct and all season folders and episode name are correct.
Almost the same as HamaTV but 1 thing is complete weird season 17 is turnd in to the simpsons name.
and only the 1 that get the name simpsons have info in it.
The way i want it is like how it is showed in the last pic of tvdb but then for all maps folders and episode of this anime and with the correct name
How do i fix this or what did i do wrong.
Sorry for the long post if u need more info ask.
What I can’t believe is that there are actually people that go around with no file extensions - kinda like walking around town with no pants on. lol
Filebot can handle the naming and structuring in seconds. What FileBot can’t do is remove possible embedded metadata in the Title Field of MP4/M4V files (in case your files are MP4 - we can’t tell by looking). Plex will read this info and prefer it over a perfect file name/structure, but you can combat that situation by moving Local Media Assets to the bottom of every agent list you can find. All tabs in TV Show and Movies here: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200241558-Agents
Just drag LMA to the bottom of the list and drop it. If you do have embedded metadata this will cure the issue, if you don’t it won’t matter. LMA will do what it has to from the bottom.
Renaming/restructuring is best performed OUTSIDE the library and you’ll need to write a new bundle for the show so The Plex Dance® was invented:
i will look in to it but i dont mind paying for software that works correct, but i am not going to pay for a program that cost 20 dollar thats over the top man.
will let u know if got it to work.
Also if i decide i will going to use filebot and i buy it in the windows store is that only the licence for windows or also when i upgrade to a linux server and use the linux version of it.
It looks like from your screenshots, you might have the library pointed to the wrong location. Using your screenshots (and this is a guess, based on them) you folder/file structure should be something like this:
Finished Series >>>> Your anime library should point here
… One Piece (1999) >>> The folder containing the seasons and episodes from One Piece.
… … Season 01 >>> The folder holding episodes for season 1
… … … One Piece - S01E01.mp4
… … … One Piece - S01E02.mp4, etc, etc
… … Season 02 >>> The folder holding episodes for season 2
… … … episodes from season 2 like above
… Another anime series >>> The folder containing the seasons and episodes from more series.
… … Follow the same folder and file structure for this series.
I think you are seeing the weird results because of this. You should never point your library to (in this case) “One Piece (1999” It will end up with Plex trying to match to a series called Season 01, Season 02. etc. If you have it pointed to the individual season folders, you’ll likely get even worse results.
If you rename the files as suggested, and get the library aimed to the folder above the Series/Shows folder, things will likely begin to work as you expect.
