New TV Shows and Movies going into a new index or database issues, search issues and visual glitches

After latest update or 2 I have been having these strange issues with the web player on LG smart tv, Roku, and Edge/Chrome web browsers. Users have also reported same issues with glitches and search bar function.

Issue 1 Visual Glitches on web browsers:

Issue 2 Visual Glitches on LG Smart TV and Roku (all updated player versions):

Don’t have a pic but simple explanation is that when you click any new season of TV show, it will show all episodes, then if you hit an episode and hit back, all episodes are gone but the one you selected. Hitting back and then going back into original season image on main screen brings all episodes back.

Issue 3 HUGE ISSUE, adding new TV shows and Movies puts them into a new index or database

pic1 shows a recently added tv show and the actress i click on i want to see what other tv shows she is in on my server, basically using the search feature and as well as ACTUALLY using the search feature, this happens also:

pic2 shows that when i click the main actress it says my index or database has only the 1 tv show she is in:

pic3 and pic4 show that indeed i have more tv shows with her in it. this happens with everything new i add almost as far back as when the search function was changed a month or so ago this has been happening, looks like an old database:

when clicking on an old tv show before the search function change, she is shown in all the tv shows prior to the new one, but not the new one just added a few days ago

two questions:

1. What is your TV episode naming format?
2. Have you refreshed the metadata for your library recently?

Yes and yes lol

1. Naming format has never changed it’s always been by date the episodes came out, always works for my server.

2. I refresh my entire server, all libraries, a couple times a week and everytime i do big additions of new content.

I stay on top of my library and refresh libraries individually every time i add anything to that library which is usually a couple times a week. Never had an issue before the new search button update.

Now everything i add, refresh metadate for that library, then refresh other libraries, plex dance, still doesn’t add the new content to the old datebase/index.

Please note I did not ask if the format you are using worked in the past. I asked what your specific format was. Plex has dropped support for a couple of the more widely used formats recently.

I was a victim of that problem, I had media not showing up and disappearing.
