New TV shows playback failures for friend accounts

Server Version#: 1.15.1.710 and 1.14.x
Player Version#: All tested

For the past couple of weeks any new TV show I add cannot be played back by friends I have shared my server with. Existing TV shows play fine, as do new and existing movies. The problem shows will also play fine for my local account. I do not see any errors in the server log.

Things I’ve tried: Rebooting both client and server, rolling back server to 1.14.x, disabling and reenabling remote access, setting a static port in server settings, opening said port manually on my firewall rather than just relying on uPNP, optimizing the database from the Troubleshooting page of the settings, and repairing the database as outlined at https://support.plex.tv/articles/201100678-repair-a-corrupt-database/. The problem persists.

When trying to play the problematic shows via Plexweb all that happens is a black box popping up saying “Playback Error
There was an unexpected error during playback. Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems.”

Anyone? Is there a better place to be asking?

I’m having the same problem on my server. Apparently only I can’t access the content, but people I share the library with can access it just fine.

Playing and looking at the metadata for some newly added shows doesn’t work. Even loading the search results containing a “broken” show fails.

I can supply logs or any other information if needed.
