New Update? Plex Defaults to Closed Captions, Can't Play Media - Shield

I have to assume it is the newest Plex update because nothing else was changed on Shield before this issue arrive.

I just want to turn off Closed Captions as the default for subtitles. It causes all my media to freeze and basically be unable to play. If I switch to .srt for an episode of TV, it plays fine with no issue. But then I have to do this for EVERY episode. I have tried turning off "Auto Burn In’, and all the other subtitle setting, but nothing works.

I just want this to be able to go to .srt by default instead of defaulting to Closed Caption (burned in)

What are the settings for automatically selecting audio and subtitles in your user account? https://support.plex.tv/articles/204985278-account-audio-subtitle-language-settings/

Are we talking about media on your own Plex server?
If so, are the srt subtitles already sitting beside the video files when you start playback?
Are they properly marked with the language that you have set in the above account setting?
