New video player in latest plex client for Nvidia shield not playing tv shows

Hi,

There is a bug in the latest Android TV client for Nvidia Shield whereby all tv shows refuse to play if using the new video player (which is selected by default in settings). Movies play fine with the new player and simply setting to “No” allows me to watch my TV shows…

Error message is strange and doesn’t reflect the issue: “Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost”.

Can you ask the devs to fix this?

I’m getting that sort of issue too. Must admit I’ve not tried to see if it’s just a TV show vs Movies issue but when I try to play a show I get a blocky coloured background and a spinning circle for a few minutes followed by the error message you get.
