New xbr 900f won't play any files

Just got this TV yesterday. Last night I finished setup and updated Android TV and installed Plex. Any files I attempt to play will display the first frame and then freezes. I can skip forward and backward and it will display the first frame, but won’t actually play anything.

I went back to my PS4 and Plex worked fine there and I had 4 others streaming just fine. I don’t believe it’s and issue with the server. Is there some setting on the TV that I’m missing?

Turn off “HDMI Passthrough” in the Plex app settings.

Its a known issue at the moment.

I did disable that, but the issue remained until a hard reboot of the TV.

I’m going to keep it open for now because the devs may pop in and ask you for logs. We’ve been trying to sort this problem for awhile and its helpful to get data from other users if possible.

Also could you post if you are using HDMI from TV through the ARC channel to an AVR? Or are you just using the TV speakers?

Thanks I have the same TV running ARC to a Sony receiver and have similar problems, but all my other TV apps are working great.

Speaking of, with your TV check out some Dolby Vision stuff from Netflix :slight_smile:
