Latest Beta fixed Dolby Vision (Single Layer) in an MKV container but killed it for MPEGTS container. Please fix it again since most of my DV are in MPEGTS containers.

That’s the point. It did not support it, therefore Disney Plus did not show the icon but did show it on 2019 version. Meaning Disney Plus app is looking at client capability at the least even if it wasn’t aware of display capability.

For the 2019 Shield Pro, the Disney+ app definitely knows whether the Shield is in a DV compatible mode because it removes the DV logos from shows such as the Mandalorian.

I see what you are trying to demonstrate. There would need to be a streaming device check from the app, then the device will check on the display capabilities. If both exist in the affirmative, then you should see a DV badge icon. Sounds easy enough in theory… I’m sure that @sixones and the team …

I see the client is out of beta now. I tested all my DV rips and they all worked properly first time. Looks as though you nailed it, Plex, nice one!

@Orange_GT3 Where are you seeing that? I have the latest beta installed 8.8.0.21167 which was released on 17th October. The official non beta release in google play is 6th October. Where are you seeing a more updated version?

Tested the new update. Still more of the same as 21167. When I get DV playback, seems there are two ‘modes’. One is brighter than the other. And the dimmer one looks very dark. Not even HDR lvl, with Dynamic Tone Mapping off and everything Dynamic off. My DV MP4 I created using DV MP4muxer method …

I’m still getting a few movies triggering Dolby vision but only get a black screen.

Plex 8.8.0 is awesome! I have tried all these MKV demo files. ALL of them can trigger DoVi. DoVi P4/P5/P7/P8 are supported by shield tv. I use shield tv pro 2019 + sony Z9F(ZF9). [image] Index of /download/dvtest
