Next Button Not Working in Plex Add-On

Hi All,

I’m currently using an Nvidia Shield Pro as player with Kodi/ Plex Add-on as my player. When I first installed Kodi all of my playback buttons worked fine. Once I upgraded to 19.0 I lost the ability to use the “Next” button. If i play an episode that has a next available in my library…the button shows available but nothing happens when attempting to click it. When playing the latest episode the button is correctly grayed out. Some other people pointed out that it’s a next chapter button but my previous episode button works fine everytime and never functions as a chapter button so I’m thinking it’s a difference in the how the button functions between kodi and the plex add-on. I’ve tried factory resetting and reinstalling multiple versions from 19.0 to current 19.4. Other people have commented they’re experiencing the same issue but the majority seem to have not. Just wondering if this is a known issue and if there’s a fix at all. Thanks in advance!

I also have this problem.

I am running the Plex add-on on coreelec 19.5 matrix rc1.

I also tried the version from this repository

I then tried both versions of the 19 add-on from the first post in this thread

Same problem.

So it seems this button only works in kodi 18.

A good workaround would be the “up next” add-on but unfortunately that also doesn’t work within the Plex add-on.

Someone suggested having something similar built in and the dev @panni seemed to like the idea.

Hopefully someone will figure something out.

I’m a willing tester if needed.
