On my QNAP lost the System Storage Pool and needed to recreate. Because my Plex app was installed on that StoragePool, I had to re-install the Plex app.
Now I cannot add any of the content that is on the local QNAP NAS. On the left of the webclient, there is the default content ‘Home’ , ‘LiveTV’ , ‘Movies & Shows’ etc. On the bottom of that list there is ‘+ Your Media’ , but after clicking that I am reverted to the where I need to ‘Get Plex Media Server’ , but it is already installed on the QNAP NAS !
Also I cannot find my server anywhere in the configuration of my account ?
One other remark to add … when opening the administration web interface for a second time, via the QNAP administration webconsole, I am presented with a screen that says ‘No soup for you!’ ‘You do not have access to this server’
#solved
Not sure what the exact cause was, I read through a lot of posts describing ‘somewhat’ a similar situation with ‘No soup for you!’ error message.
What solved it for me was that I needed to connect to http://ip-adress NASdevice:32400/web ; and from there on I was able to add the QNAP NAS PMS again and configure the locally stored libraries.
I’m pretty sure I tried that before , only without the ‘/web’ addition and that definitily did not work, same as connecting to http://FQDN NASdevice:32400 did not work.
So, case closed, and the above, for all people that might run into the same. Hope the explanation helps.
Maybe as an addition to the above.
After again ‘claiming’ (that’s how Plex calls it) my local NAS again, via connecting to the IP-adress and finishing off on the config with local data-source access. I succesfully connected back to the FQDN of the NAS which was not possible at first (see OP).
