I have 2 Xbox one x’s. Living room and bedroom. The one in the living room gets no audio from Plex, but all other features and streaming services work. My bedroom one works perfectly fine. I have opted out of the insider program, uninstall reinstall, hard wipe of the system, rebooted the server itself, nothing. Hadn’t worked in 6+ months.

Hi there. That sounds like a pretty odd issue. How is your Xbox One connected to your audio devices?
HDMI. Like I said. No audio issues with any other application on the Xbox one and my other Xbox one with Plex works great. It’s this single isolated unit with only Plex seeming to have the issue.
HDMI directly into the TV? Is it all media that has no sounds? What if you go into the app settings and disable display mode switching in the video section.
HDMI into the receiver. Once again it cannot be an issue with the device physical set up as everything else works.
I actually tried searching for that option and couldn’t find it. Is that setting on the Xbox or the Plex web console?
It’s a setting in the Xbox One app.

That worked thanks! I was looking in the Xbox settings, not the Plex app settings on the Xbox.
I can confirm this fixed the audio issue for me as well. For months, I had audio in the menu (feedback sound) but no audio no matter what content I tried to play. Switching “Allow Display Mode Switching” off immediately solved the problem! Thank you!

Flippin AWESOME!!! I have had this issue since I upgraded to an xbox one x november of last year. Had given up and moved to using plex on my ps4 pro. Now I can go back to X, Thanks moussa
